Dental Bonding Sacramento, CA
Repair defects and gaps in your teeth with cosmetic bonding.
Dental bonding can be the ideal conservative treatment for teeth that are slightly stained, chipped or minimally flawed. Dr. Chalmers uses dental bonding to sculpt anterior (front) teeth with a tooth-like material called “composite resin”. Dental bonding can give your smile substantial yet subtle improvement. Cosmetic bonding is a painless procedure that has the ability to change the shape, contour, color and position of teeth in order to enhance the appearance of your smile.
FAQs About Cosmetic Bonding
- Is bonding painful?
- Do bonded teeth stain or discolor?
- Does a bonded tooth require extra care?
- How long does bonding take?
Since very little tooth structure is reduced— minimal drilling—bonding is often performed without anesthetic. The process is conservative—we leave most of your natural tooth undisturbed.
Bonding material stains similarly to normal tooth structure. So it may show coffee and tobacco stains just like your natural enamel does.
You should avoid biting into hard things such as ice cubes, candy or other hard foods. Chewing on pens, pencils or other objects can damage bonded teeth. Longevity depends on many factors, including proper home care, diet, and your chewing habits.
Most bonding procedures are completed in one visit. The length of the visit varies according to the procedure.
